while listening to music, as soon as i switch my LG TV on, the MAIN zone switches to TV audio input, and the Movie party can start. For fine tuning the sound i use the Marantz app. In the kitchen I use the HEOS 5, The oneandonly app I use for music playing is the HEOS standard app, I grouped the 6013 together with the heos-5, i have a Synology NAS serving (like your media player) my own music, I choose the tracks via the HEOS app, I often listen to internet radio, also via the HEOS app. one month ago, my 6013 connected via HDMI with ARC to my TV works perfectly! So there is hope fore you -) I do not understand your setup completely, why do you have a Media player running? My setup looks likes this, perhaps it will give you some new idea's : I have the 6013 running with main and zone2, main is the 'around my TV' speaker zone, en zone2 is in a seperate room with 2 high end speakers.
Hi GWelc, after the software update approx. I will let you know if I make any progress. I came here to see if anybody else was having similar problems. Still happy with the sound quality and price performance. I am going to have to put my head on straight and document some of the things I tried. Sorry I have tried so many scenarios I am a bit frustrated at this point. I tried analog connections recommended by Denon but this did not work.
If anybody knows how to use HEOS-5 with AVR/TV let me know. I have never been able to use my HEOS-5 speaker with AVR HDMI-ARC to TV or HDMI-Optical in Zone 2. Now no inputs appear for AVR in HEOS APP. I could use my HEOS speaker with HEOS, CD, and Smart TV YouTube over internet without a problem. A few weeks ago all my inputs on the AVR were available in the HEOS app. It seems when switching source inputs many problems occur. The JRivers software on my PC seems to group devices and play music much better than HEOS. I also have had problems with HEOS turning AVR off and continuing to play on HEOS-5 from my server running JRivers Media Player. I also had to completely cut power to correct the problem. Hi, I am having the same problems with Marantz 6013 & HEOS-5. Has anyone else had such weird issues with Heos? Since then I've grouped the two with no problem, but I suspect there is some sort of bug in the Marantz's Heos support or something like that. Then the Heos speaker reappeared as well. The Marantz was still playing music, but when I switched to TV I found no sound again and had to pull the power on the amp to get it all back. Then two days later I again ran the amp grouped with the speaker and everything was fine for about 15 minutes, then the speaker inexplicably removed itself from the group and disappeared from the Heos app's listing of speakers. Turned the Marantz off and on, checked sound settings, tried everything - nothing but the Heos input would produce a single decibel of sound no matter what I did.įinally in desperation and thinking I'd killed the amp, I pulled the power cable out to hard boot it and viola - everything was working again. Then flicked back to Heos and got music again. Flicked in back and forth, then tried the Apple TV, Oppo Bluray player and FM radio. Everything went well until a couple of hours later we sat down to watch TV, flicked the amp to the ARC channel and got no sound. The other day we used them together for the first time. I bought a Marantz 7012 a couple of months ago and as part of the deal got a Denon Heos 7 wireless speaker.
